Backyard Lakeside Wedding | Carly + Shane

Carly and Shane’s day was filled with so much intention and love. Not only did they hold their ceremony in Carly’s grandma’s stunning backyard near Lake Geneva, WI, but that is also where Carly got ready in the morning. We incorporated some sentimental heirloom pieces like her grandma’s piano into her detail shots.

The couple opted to skip a first look and do a first touch with a private vow reading instead. The forecast called for a storm starting just after the ceremony, so we rushed to snap a few photos of each combination we could. But, as we continued to run around the nearby pier, the skies seemed to lighten and we never got a drop of rain.

The wedding party hopped on a trolley to head to the Riviera in downtown Lake Geneva for the reception. The rest of the night was filled with good food, happy tears, and looooots of dancing. Cheers to these two!
